Ketchikan Alaska August 2006
This was, I believe, our first stop in Alaska, very cute town. One of the things we did was to go to an Indian Village, where we saw them make totem poles and watched them dane, and I even got to dance with the Indians (needless to say I was immidiately an expert).
It was also at this village that we saw our first bald eagle.
Fun Facts: Ketchikan is the Salmon Capital of the World! The cities name means= spread wings of a thundering Eagle (quite a mouthfull). Approximately 14 feet of rain each year (yes it rained nearly the entire time we were there).
