Big Trees (in the south of yosemite) Mariposa Grove August 2006 -

Big trees is full of, whatelse, big trees: sequoias. This paticular tree, as you can see, has a tunnel passing through it!

Many famous sequoias live here: Giant Grizzly, The Bachelor and The Three Graces, The Faithful Couple, The Wawona Tunnel tree (shown here), The Fallen Giant, and many others.

Fun Facts: Sequoias can live to be 2000 years old. The tallest recorded is 378ft in height and 23 ft in diameter.
